Supercars Weekend

It was a weekend full of shoots for Supercars. Ferrari 599GTB, Lamborghini Gallardo, Porsche 997 GT3, 997 GT3 CS, 997 Turbo Cabriolet, Boxster S. And it was fun shooting under the rain. Made me realise shoots need not be cancelled due to unfavourable weather conditions.

Now for the shots. Sharing a couple first, have yet to edit finish.

Clio Renault F1 Team R27

This might just by my first dream car. I would get this over a Mini Cooper S or Golf GTI. Although it is a manual car, but it just have that plus factor in that car that attracts me, not only me, my other friends as well. Had this car over the weekend since friday evening. Willing to pay for the petrol just to have fun in this car. Well, 110k. This will be a memorable car for me as it’s the car that helped me brush up my confidence of driving a manual car, fast. Pictures soon.

Gemballa Launch at National Museum

Attended the Gemballa launch last night held at the singapore national museum. Expected a lot of exotics to turn up. A few shots taken for my friends.

This shot is a group photo of the 4 Gemballas that were being launched. Got permission from people from Gemballa and had a hard time arranging the cars. Must make sure no one gets into the premises during the shoot.  But it’s a bit hard when there are so many pple snaping photos. Here’s one shot i manage to get perfectly. The person in the middle is Mr Uwe Gemballa, can’t possibly ask him to move away lol.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4

Attended the launch of the new Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 at Dempsey this afternoon. Seen it all over the net and now, in flesh. It looks much better and cleaner than the previous Gallardo.

Was browsing through the photos taken at photoshoots in the past. Decided to re-edit this picture to give a different feel. Still one of the most enjoyable photoshoots of all.

Strobe Lighting

Attended an advanced photography course on saturday at Singapore Arts Museum. One thing that i was very attracted to was the Strobe Lighting they used. Experienced it and i so wanted one of those setup as well. Expensive… Don’t even think about it.

Going into the records of the cutest car i ever shot. Was shooting this car for the SgCarmart.com editorial team.

The Fiat 500. All shot within 15mins as was having so much fun that we lost track of time.

Beware of the Type-ASS

The Honda S2000 Type S. Not much difference from the basic model, only spoiler, bodykit and alcantara leather seats.

Very Important Test

Yes, it’s the most important test of my life. Can’t afford to fail it as many of my friends and clients are placing high hopes on me. It’s the Traffic Police test. Can’t imagine the consequences if i failed it. Sweaty palms holding on to the steering wheels, maneuvering around the AMK neighbourhood. I remembered clearly, i made no mistakes, but end up with 6 demerit points. Delay in moving off and Incorrect positioning, don’t remember having make any of these mistakes. These instructors just can’t give a perfect score. At least i pass, and it’s a relief.

SGDC Mid Year Photoshoot & 430 Scuderia Part II

Program for the day was all lined up. After the GTR meetup, headed down to Millenia Walk to meet the guys from the Singapore Diecasters Club. We planned to have mass photoshoot at Marina South Pier. About 15 of us turned up and i have no idea how many models there are. All i know is there are a lot. Too many until we have no time to take pictures of all the cars. Some pics to share.

What i brought for the day.

The sky got dark very fast. Organiser should have set the time earlier.

Halfway during the shoot, guess who dropped by. Yes, Mr Scuderia. Was supposed to pass him the pics taken at Hong Seh Motors the day before. Did some snapshots of his car as well.

The ride is. Stiff.

GTR Gathering at Kallang

Met up with an old client who previously drove an Evo 9, sold it and now driving a GTR.  He organised a small gathering and called me along. About 10 turned up, but some left early, so only manage to snap a group shot of 5 GTRs.

Collection of the First Ferrari 430 Scuderia in Singapore

Went down to Hong Seh Motors on the morning of the 21st of June to witness the collection of the First Ferrari 430 Scuderia. In fact there were 2 for collection on that morning. The smile on the owners faces were totally priceless.

 Second to arrive in the morning. Cars were still covered. So eager to lift it up to take a peek.

Owners then arrived, sign on the dot, receive the keys and unleash the beast.

Red one belongs to my friend. Black one belongs to a low profile guy, well he always gets the first ferraris…

The Red one was the first to hit the roads.

Month of Photography Asia Festival

The next weekend was out to shoot a group of mini and models. Running around town to market the Month of Photography Asia Festival. Went around in the mini from Dempsey Ben & Jerry to Holland Village to Orchard Road and Big Splash Carl’s Junior as our final destination. Havoc, 7 minis horning throughout the whole journey to attract attention. Ths is their way of doing marketting. yeah, it’s cool.
